How Awareness360 researches, fact-checks and stays independent — and how to flag an error.
Awareness360 publishes guides on money, digital safety and legal rights — topics where getting a fact wrong can cost a reader real money or real harm. This page explains who writes our content, how we research and check it, and how we keep it trustworthy. If you ever find something inaccurate, we want to hear about it.
Who we are
Awareness360 is an independent Indian publisher. Our guides are produced by the Awareness360 editorial team — writers and researchers who specialise in personal finance, cyber safety and civic law in the Indian context. We are not a bank, broker, insurer, law firm or government body, and we have no financial products of our own to sell.
How we research
Every guide is built from primary sources — not from other blogs. Depending on the topic, that means:
- Regulator material: the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), SEBI, IRDAI, NPCI and the Income Tax Department
- Government portals and helplines: cybercrime.gov.in, the 1930 cyber helpline, consumerhelpline.gov.in, e-Daakhil, rtionline.gov.in and UIDAI
- The text of the law itself — for example the BNSS, the Consumer Protection Act, the DPDP Act and the Model Tenancy Act
Where we summarise a rule, we link directly to the official source so you can verify it yourself. If a claim can't be traced to a credible source, it doesn't go in.
How we fact-check
Before a guide is published, it is reviewed for accuracy, for clarity to a first-time reader, and for whether every actionable step (a helpline number, a portal, a deadline, a limit) is current and correct. Rules in India change often — Budgets, RBI circulars and new laws — so each guide carries a “last reviewed” date, and we revisit our most-read guides as the underlying rules change.
Corrections
If you spot an error or something that has gone out of date, email info@awareness360.in or use the report link at the foot of any guide. We review reported corrections within 48 hours and update the guide (and its review date) when a change is warranted.
Editorial independence & money
Awareness360 is free to read and is supported by advertising and, on some pages, clearly disclosed affiliate links. Advertising and affiliate revenue never influence what we write or which products we mention. We do not publish paid articles disguised as independent advice, and any affiliate or sponsored placement is labelled as such on the page. You can read more on our Advertise page.
